If You Ever Want to Dye Your Hair Red, Don't Do It!

I decided recently that I needed to rebel  against my parents who will not let me drink, smoke, get a tattoo, pierce wierd body parts or practice making babies.  So they only thing left for me to do was dye my hair a really wierd color.  I went shopping when my parents weren't there to stop me, and brought a special box of hair dye to my house.  I came out of my room, and showed my step-mom the box, and asked her so sweetly in an especially melodious voice if she would please assist me in achieving a new look.  She took the box and looked at it silently for a moment before saying that she wouldn't recommend the color purple.  She instead suggested that I choose a nice blonde or even a burgundy to compliment my black hair.  But no....  I needed to be rebelious and show my true maturity, so I decided to tone it down by going with a rainbow red, as in the primary color.  I had a large section of my underneath dyed but no--I needed more, so we added striped in my bangs.  The pricetag--a mere $70 and the wrath of my father when I returned home.  And my grandmother--we won't even talk about how she was going to kick me out of the family.  About two weeks later, my red was gone and it turned orange--ugly orange.  So now I'm all black again and I probably will stay that way for a while (at least until the gray comes)!
