My First Date in the United States

I  went on my first US date in the spring of this year, and I didn't like it.  It was a blind date to my senior prom.  My parents find the boy because I was too scared to ask somebody and my parents said I shouldn't miss my prom.  At first, I didn't want to go because I didn't have anyone to go with.  After I got set up for the date and was convinced, I decided to go.  We went shopping, and I tried on a ton of dresses before I found a peach one that I really liked.  We got new shoes and jewelry and a clip for my hair.  And we found somebody to do my hair.  I looked for some hairstyles online and found one that I liked.  When I got to the person's house who was going to do my hair, we decided to do a different style with lots of barrel curls, and I really liked it.  Then we hurried to my house because my date was already there with his mom because she had to drive him.  Because he couldn't drive on his own for another few days, my parents had to drive us.  We went out to dinner at the Melting Pot and the food was good.  That was the only part good.  We danced a little at the Capitol, but it was very crowded.  He didn't know how to dance, and that was the worst part.  So I learned that dates don't always go the way you want them to, but you can still have a good time.
